Blue Hawaii Surf Beijing One Year Anniversary Party

I didn't get too many photos of the event on my iPhone so I will do another post of the event when I gather more from everyone else's pics. The party itself was rad!!! Chinese Rockabilly band Rock Bowling played while the skaters ripped up the make shift quarter pipe. A bit of a step down from last years mini ramp but a much better vibe overall! Rock Bowling killed it! They just came off a 6 week tour of China the day before. As for the skaters, Beijing's best were on hand and everyone was ripping! Our guys Vince, Tsuyong, Xu Ying and Dyson were the crowd favorites overall.

Tsuyong would be considered the Chinese TNT or Cardiel. He's got a ton of energy and skates at 100 mph all the time!

Regina Toguchi is a local girl from Mililani. Her family owns Highway Inn Waipahu and soon to open in Kaka'ako. Regina has been out here for a number of years and is pretty much a kama'aina in the Beijing area. Good to see and talk to local people out here!

Nate Mettler is also from Hawaii. He's been living in Shanghai for 12 years? Nate is our NHS rep in China. I used to skate with him and Steve Ellis at Hawaii Kai, Mililani, and Hickam before he moved to China. Nate sponsors the 3 best skaters in all of China and now they represent our shop!
